Sick Child Daycare
Opened in 2011 on the second floor of Sano Clinic,
our Sick Child Daycare Room in Funabashi City
provides a safe and caring environment for children who are feeling unwell.
Under the supervision of trained staffs and doctors, we look after children who cannot attend their regular daycare
or school due to illness.
Our director has raised four children, and our deputy director is currently raising four as well
—giving them both deep understanding and experience in childcare.
We are here to support working families, especially when it’s difficult to take time off
or find someone to care for your child.

Usage Guide
Children from 0 years old up to 3rd grade in elementary school.
Maximum of 6 children
※ Two isolation rooms are available.
(Depending on the type of illness, we may not be able to accept a child even if the facility is not at full capacity.)
＜Conditions We Cannot Accept＞
Measles, rubella, head lice, scabies, Covid-19 (novel coronavirus)
Licensed nurse and certified childcare professionals (some of them have specialized certification in caring for sick children).

Doctor’s contact form（医師連絡票)：
This form must be filled out by a physician during your child’s medical consultation. Please note that your child cannot be accepted without this form.

A doctor will make rounds after nap time each day.
In case of sudden changes in your child’s condition, a doctor will also be available to respond.
If deemed necessary by the physician, we will coordinate care with local core hospitals.

Process for Using the Service
Call from 6:30 AM on the day of use to make a reservation.
Please complete the application form at home before bringing it in.
Refer to the Sick Child Care Guide for what to bring.
If your child gets sick at night or in the morning before a visit, and does not have a Doctor’s contact form (医師連絡票), you can have them examined at Sano Clinic between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM.
(Please note that after 9:00 AM, the doctor will see regular patients in order.)
(After the medical examination,) come to Oh Kids for sick child daycare.
Cancellation Policy
Recently, last-minute and no-show cancellations have increased. This affects other families who wish to use our services.
Please cancel as early as possible if needed, and only make a reservation when care is truly needed.
